  • What is acceptable proof of vaccinations?

Acceptable proof would include a Rabies Certificate.  For other vaccinations, a receipt from your vet, or written and signed verification on your veterinary clinic’s letterhead may be acceptable.  You only need to bring it to your first visit and when vaccinations are updated.  Vaccinations beyond rabies are left up to your discretion as dog owner.

  • What if I administer vaccinations myself?

Provide a copy of the label from the bottle, along with the date administered.

  • What if my vet recommends my pet not be vaccinated with a particular vaccination due to health issues?

Vaccinations other than rabies are not required.

  • What if I can’t make it during your regular hours?

We have specific pick-up and drop-off hours. We recommend you do everything you can to make it during our regular business hours. However, under certain circumstances, we will make accommodations for you to come in outside those hours. If you are going to be late or need to cancel, we would greatly appreciate a phone call.  There will be a late fee for coming outside designated hours.

  • What if I drop off in the afternoon and pick-up in the afternoon the next day? Is that considered one day? Do you base it on a 24-hour stay?

No. You will be charged $20 for the overnight no matter what time you drop your pet off.  You may also be charged the $15 Day Care rate for the next day. Our facility runs like a motel with specific check-out times. If you miss the morning checkout deadline, you will be charged the Day Care rate.  If you pick up or drop off outside of regular hours, you will be assessed a late fee.

  • How often are the dogs let out?

They are let out four to six times per day. They may have playtime in addition to the four times.

  • What do I have to bring for my pet’s stay?

You only need to bring proof of vaccination, food and your pet. We provide pet cots (kennel decks for dogs that chew), dishes, love and attention. We encourage you to bring your own food, treats, bedding and toys.  Often times, familiar things help make them feel more at ease.  If you choose to use the kennel food, there will be a small daily fee of $1.

  • How far ahead do I need to call to make a reservation?

In most cases, we recommend you call at least a few days before you want to drop off, but you can call up to the day of. However, more notice is always better as we may be full. We recommend calling at least a couple of weeks ahead around the holidays and for summer weekends.

  • How long do you board pets?

We board pets anywhere from one day forward. If it is a very long stay, you will be required to pay a portion of the boarding fee in advance.

  • Do you board puppies and kittens?

Yes! We board dogs of all ages and sizes.  We no longer board cats here.

  • Do you let all the dogs out together for potty time?

For potty, we let each dog out separately unless the dogs belong to the same family and the family requests that they be let out together. We no longer offer community playtime for safety reasons.

  • Can we come and look at the kennel before we decide to board with you?

Yes. We encourage you to come and see where your pet will be staying, so we can address any questions and/or concerns you may have. Some customers even bring their pets to meet us, so everyone can feel more comfortable during their stay. Occasionally, customers choose to slowly introduce their pet to our facility by bringing them to stay for half a day or day care before they do any extended boarding.
